    ABOUT KUMU PAʻA NUI LAWRENCE KALAINIA KAMANI AKI


    Kumu Paʻa Nui Lawrence Kalainia Kamani Aki is the 50th generation of Traditional Hawaiian Teachings from Halawa Valley, Molokai, Hawaiʻi. 

    He was born and raised as a punahele by his maternal grandparents in the Valley of Halawa, where he was taught Hawaiian spirituality and Hawaiian cultural Traditions from when he was 3 years old. 

    Kumu Hula ʻAnakala Pilipo Solatorio, a treasure of the state of Hawaii, is now 83 years old, taught Lawrence Aki all the protocols and ceremonies, the history of Molokai, and the spirituality of the Kanaka Maoli since he was 9 ½ years old.
     
    Kumu Lawrence did ʻuniki (ritual graduation) with ʻAnakala Pilipo Solatorio to Kumu Paʻa (teacher of Foundation) in 1992 in traditional Hawaiian protocol.

    Since then, he has helped thousands of people in Hoʻoponopono sessions, in-person workshops, retreats, and online classes to find their spiritual path in Aloha and Pono, and reconnect with their family, ancestors, and Hawaiian culture.

    This is an Open Forum and is included in the Mana O Molokai Hawaiian Studies Membership.
